UAE’S Goals For Education

The UAE is committed to ensuring that all Emiratis have access to quality education. In fact, the government has made it a national agenda for education. The Ministry of Education has been working on this agenda since 2010 and has made significant progress in implementing it across all stages of education.
This article will give you an overview of some key elements of the National Agenda for Education and how they affect your child’s right to an inclusive education in the UAE:

The Constitution and Education

The Constitution of the United Arab Emirates guarantees the right to free education in schools, colleges and universities. This is binding until the secondary level. The government is responsible for developing necessary plans to spread education and eliminate illiteracy.

High Standard Education System

The UAE has adopted a high standard education system as one of the pillars of the national agenda to achieve the UAE Vision 2021. All educational institutions subject to monitoring and supervision by numerous official government institutions.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) is responsible for developing policies related to education in the country, including its quality assurance systems, curricula and textbooks development, teacher training programs, student assessment systems etc. MOE also monitors all private schools operating within its jurisdiction through regular inspections conducted by its inspectors who are appointed by law

National Strategy for Higher Education 2030

The UAE launched the "National Strategy for Higher Education 2030" to expand educational outcomes and enhance their attractiveness. The Ministry of Education developed its 2017-2021 strategic plan to ensure the achievement of educational equality for all, as well as develop a framework that will support national priorities in education policy and planning
The UAE has made significant progress towards achieving these goals, but there are still challenges ahead: some students drop out before finishing high school; others fail to acquire skills needed for employment or further education; and many do not have access to higher education opportunities because they cannot afford it.

Education Strategy 20102020

The “Education Strategy 2010-2020” was adopted by fifty national initiatives as a blueprint with the aim of achieving a distinguished education system The strategy focuses on creating safe, supportive and stimulating educational environments that will help children learn how to think critically and creatively, develop their skills in communication, collaboration and leadership and establish a culture of innovation in education
The UAE’s commitment to improving its education system has been recognized internationally with awards such as:

Best Practice Award from UNESCO for Excellence in Education Reforms (2011)
World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Innovation Award for Best Higher Education Governance & Management Category (2012).

The UAE has a long tradition of commitment to education. The Constitution, for example, states that "the State shall provide free public education at all levels" and it guarantees equal opportunities for all citizens regardless of gender or race
