The UAE Celebrates World Health Day with Advanced Competitiveness in Health and Medical Care Sector

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is participating with the world in celebrating World Health Day, which falls on April 7 of each year, under the slogan "Health for All". According to the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, the UAE has advanced positions in global competitiveness indicators in the health and medical care sector.

The Center for Competitiveness and Statistics stated, in statements on the occasion of World Health Day, that the UAE ranked first in the world in 3 main indicators in the health sector. These indicators are "the existence of national programs for early detection", the "extent of health care coverage", and the "prenatal care coverage" index issued in the report. The 2022 Prosperity Index released by the Legatem Institute.

Additionally, the center indicated that the UAE ranked second globally and first regionally in the health outcomes index issued by the Open Data Organization in the Open Data Inventory Report 2022.

The UAE has made significant investments in the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on ensuring access to high-quality healthcare for all its residents. The country has implemented various programs and initiatives to promote health and wellbeing, such as the National Health Agenda 2021-2031, which aims to strengthen the country's healthcare system and improve the health outcomes of its population.

The center also stated that the UAE ranked third in the world and first regionally in the indicator of the lack of health problems issued by the Legatem Institute in the Prosperity Index report. The UAE ranked 11th globally in the reproductive health index and 12th globally in the health facilities index, issued in the Open Data Inventory 2022 report issued by the Open Data Organization.

These rankings reflect the UAE's commitment to providing accessible and high-quality healthcare services to its citizens and residents. The country has invested heavily in building state-of-the-art healthcare infrastructure and developing a skilled healthcare workforce to deliver world-class healthcare services.
