UAE Enters Top 10
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has achieved a significant milestone by entering the top ten countries in the Global Soft Power Index for the first time in its history. The Global Soft Power Index is compiled by research and analysis firm Brand Finance and ranks countries based on their positive influence on the world stage.
The announcement was made during the annual Global Soft Power Summit held in London, where a group of global leaders and public figures, including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, were present.
The UAE's remarkable progress in all major and sub-indicators led to the country's rise from the 15th rank in 2022 to the tenth rank in 2023. This achievement is particularly notable as the UAE is the only Arab and Middle Eastern country to enter the top ten list.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, praised the UAE's recent position among the top ten global soft powers. He stated that this achievement indicates the accuracy of the UAE's development methodology and its influential economic, developmental, and media role on the international arena.
