Fifth Batch of Volunteers join the UAE Field Hospital in Gaza
Amidst the challenging circumstances in the Gaza Strip, the UAE’s “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment and compassion. The recent addition of eight medical volunteers as the fifth batch marks a significant stride in bolstering the UAE field hospital’s efforts, bringing the total number of dedicated volunteers to 43.
The hospital stands as a beacon of hope, having provided crucial medical care to over 757 cases thus far. These patients received vital treatment, while those necessitating specialized care were efficiently transferred to the hospital’s equipped clinics.
From the outset, the field hospital has performed an astounding 141 major surgical operations. Each day, the hospital diligently tends to numerous cases requiring immediate life-saving interventions, embodying a tireless dedication to the well-being of those in need.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the hospital boasts operating rooms capable of conducting various surgeries — from general to pediatric and vascular procedures. Moreover, it houses intensive care units tailored for both adults and children, alongside departments specializing in anaesthesia, internal medicine, dentistry, orthopaedics, psychiatry, family medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology.
Notably, the hospital’s services encompass critical diagnostic tools such as CT and X-ray scans, alongside a fully-fledged pharmacy and a cutting-edge laboratory. This comprehensive suite of facilities ensures that patients receive a holistic and high-quality treatment, adhering to the best international standards and protocols.
