Climate Action Gathering by UAE’s Ambassador to India in Preparation for COP28
Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, UAE Ambassador to India, led a roundtable discussion that emphasized the UAE COP Presidency’s four-pillar approach to speed up global climate action in advance of COP28, which will take place in Expo City Dubai later this year.
Senior think tank and civil society leaders gathered for the event in New Delhi, which emphasized the UAE’s critical role in driving climate action and encouraging global cooperation. With a commitment to an inclusive and solutions-focused COP28, the discussions highlighted the need for joint action and shared responsibility in solving climate change problems.
Following the G20 conference, participants emphasized the significance of international cooperation in putting climate financing, mitigation, and adaptation commitments into action. At the roundtable meeting were experts from institutions like TERI, ISA, CSE, CEEW, Rockefeller Foundation, and CIFF.
